Job summary

Hoffer Plastics Corporation is seeking a Custodian for the 1st shift (6:00am - 2:00pm) in South Elgin, IL. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility to support daily manufacturing operations.

Starting pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour with full training and a range of benefits. Prior experience with cleaning, safety procedures, and basic tools is helpful, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• English needed to read labels and instructions.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean/sanitize washrooms, lunch areas and offices.
• Remove snow and salt parking lots and sidewalks.
• May operate a compactor/baler as assigned.
• Sort and weigh scrap.
• Service air filters as needed.
• Perform general building projects/repairs with tools.
• Clean windows and fixtures, strip/wax or buff floors.
• Perform yard work such as planting and weeding.
• Use equipment like snow blowers, buffers, scrubbers, or a sky jack.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and comply with safety regulations.
