Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial worker to perform a variety of cleaning tasks in assigned facilities, keeping areas sanitary, orderly and welcoming for guests and staff.

You will follow established cleaning procedures, handle high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care and grounds upkeep, and report any maintenance issues to supervision. Stable hours and a safety‑conscious team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of janitorial work and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Ability to interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings, keeping areas clean and sanitary.
• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height in a counter clockwise cleaning pattern.
• Sanitize and spot clean surfaces below shoulder height; remove fingerprints and smudges.
• Bathroom cleaning with germicidal solution; maintain soap and paper dispensers.
• Empty trash and manage liners as needed.
• Dust mop or vacuum floors; clean under furniture and in restrooms.
• Conduct grounds care in outdoor areas including cleaning ash urns and trash cans.
• Maintain public common areas and food court cleanliness; spot clean spills and sanitize tables.
• Perform floor sanitizing and ongoing inspections of room conditions; report issues to supervisor.
• Provide courteous customer relations and comply with company standards and safety.
