Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom cleaning, trash handling, floor care, and outdoor area maintenance to maintain a clean, sanitary environment. The role emphasizes adherence to safety practices, correct chemical handling, and reliable communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dusting: clean surfaces above shoulder height using a high duster.
• Sanitizing/spot cleaning: sanitize surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning with germicidal solution.
• Empty trash cans: replace liners and wipe cans.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming with dust mop and proper technique.
• Grounds care: outdoor areas cleaned and checked multiple times daily.
• Public common areas: dust mop, spot mop, ensure glass/plant care.
• Food court cleaning: trash removal, sanitizing tables, and tray washing.
• Floor sanitizing: sanitize floors from back of room outward.
• Inspect room after cleaning for proper arrangement and cleanliness.
