Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• High dusting around room surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height and removing fingerprints.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solution and maintain dispensers.
• Empty trash cans; replace liners.
• Floor dusting, mopping, and vacuuming throughout rooms.
• Outside grounds care: empty ash urns, police sidewalks and benches.
• Maintain public common areas and food court cleanliness.
• Sanitize floors using germicidal solution and inspect area.
• Inspect room after cleaning to ensure order and cleanliness.
• Provide courteous customer service and report issues to supervisor.
