Job summary

The Jewish Board is seeking a Porter (A) to maintain cleanliness, safety, and upkeep across program facilities in New York. You will perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance while adhering to fire safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires three years of cleaning experience, a HS diploma or GED preferred, and a valid driver’s license for agency vehicle duties. This is an on-site position with physical and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience as a cleaner/maintainer of diverse commercial space.
• One year of trade school or certificate may substitute for 2 years' experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Thorough sanitizing of surfaces, replacing janitorial supplies as needed.
• Move furniture for events and assist with light maintenance.
• Operate basic building controls and report deficiencies.
