Job summary

Alsco is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities, and grounds at our Orlando facility. The role includes cleaning plant equipment, offices, bathrooms, and common areas, and performing outside maintenance as needed.

You will support event preparation and participate in safety programs and stock management. Candidates should be able to multitask, work well in a team or independently, and follow written or verbal directions.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willingness to learn.
• In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning plant equipment and facilities.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop.
• Dispose of trash and maintain restrooms and break rooms.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed and assist other departments.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move loads.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards and report hazards.
