Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to coordinate daily facility operations, delegate tasks, and supervise staff when the Manager is absent. The role ensures buildings are clean and safe, operates specialized equipment, handles cleaning chemicals, and supports general janitorial duties.

The position emphasizes leadership, adherence to policies, and effective communication with clients, with a focus on training new hires and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and report barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field staff and management and document client communications.
• Assist with daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee cleaning operations in assigned building.
• Manage keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged or out-of-service items.
• Oversee additional service requests as needed.
• Ensure quality and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Train new hires per onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
