Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking reliable janitorial staff to maintain cleanliness in assigned buildings and facilities. The role covers high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and outdoor grounds maintenance, with attention to safety and customer relations.

Duties include daily inspections, ensuring clean public areas, and responding to housekeeping requests to keep spaces sanitary, orderly, and well-presented for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficient communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.

Responsibilities

• High Dusting: clean surfaces above shoulder height using a high duster.
• Sanitizing/spot cleaning: use germicidal solution on surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning: clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, dispensers.
• Empty trash: replace liners and wipe cans.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming: dust mopping and vacuuming behind furniture.
• Grounds care: manage outdoor areas and keep sidewalks clear.
• Public common areas: dust mop, spot mop, ensure glass and planters are clean.
• Food court: clean, sanitize tables, remove trash, clean trays and areas outside.
• Floor sanitizing: sanitize floors behind furniture and doors.
• Inspection: review room cleanliness and correct issues.
