Job summary

UofL Health seeks a Chief Engineer to maintain a professional, distraction-free environment in Med Plaza II - UMC. You will supervise maintenance staff and manage routine facility upkeep, including floors, walls, glass, and debris removal, while coordinating repairs and snow/ice removal as needed.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in a supervisory role within critical facilities, hands-on experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 10+ years related work experience, including supervisory experience.
• Hands-on experience in a critical facility, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear.
• Current valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Maintenance staff.
• Oversees budgeting and financial control.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable national and local codes and regulations.
• Ensures construction coordination including contractor management and review.
• Maintains effective communication with Director, vendors, team members, and clients.
