Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Westfield, MA, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and system inspections across the building.

Duties include HVAC, plumbing, drywall, painting, and using hand and electrical tools in a dynamic work environment. The role may involve outdoor work, night shifts or weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred technical coursework; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or enrolled in a technical degree program.
• Able to work outdoors and across shifts including nights/weekends.
• Capable of basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical and custodial repairs.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.
• Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities.
• Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure.
• Evacuate building in the event of an emergency.
• Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations.
• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
• Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises.
• Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
