Job summary

Highgate is seeking a Facilities Attendant for the Kalia Theatre in Honolulu to maintain public spaces and support housekeeping. The role emphasizes safety, guest satisfaction, and adherence to property standards.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, hotel or related field experience preferred, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time, on-site position focusing on cleanliness and guest service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Previous Housekeeping experience highly preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Property Standards in all assigned lobby areas, restaurants, public restrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, offices, elevators, and other public spaces.
• Handle items for Lost and Found according to property standards.
• Turn in keys and assignment sheets to Supervisors Office at end of shift.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Be familiar with guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections when necessary.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose per hotel procedures.
• Vacuum guest corridors and keep areas neat and orderly.
