Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect Facilities Attendant work quality daily.

• Oversee closing of floors and restock of attendants' carts.
• Ensure daily assignment records are completed and signed off.
• Maintain key control.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairways.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties for Facilities Attendants.
• Carry pager/radio to stay in contact with Front Office/Engineering.
• Initiate and track work orders for repairs/maintenance.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• May clean rooms as needed.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Kalia Theatre is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Facilities Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
• Inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards.
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked.
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control.
• Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to the standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Facilities Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings.
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Facilities Attendant carry a work assignment.
• Carry an active pager/radio to maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and forward to Engineering. Follow through on each work order until completed.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• May be required to clean rooms as business needs dictate.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects on a biannual basis.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required. College course work in related field helpful.
• At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
