Job Description

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Facilities Associate. The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 - $30.60 per hour. The hours for second shift are from 1:45 pm to 10:15 pm. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Facilities Associate. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and specializes in the design, development, manufacture, and delivery of aerospace hydraulic components, systems, and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and maintain cleanliness of property.
• Perform maintenance activities including painting, drywall, parking lots, plumbing repairs, lighting, flooring, and roofing.
• Assist with inventory management, records, safety data sheets, supplies, and tools.
• Support event setup and decor installation/removal.
• Assist with employee moves, shipping, receiving, and related tasks.
• Conduct routine office maintenance such as mounting TVs, whiteboards, assembling furniture.
• Support Eaton's Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and standards, including OSHA regulations.
• Assist with emergency planning and response.
• Interact with employees and assist as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA (zip 90039) facility.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must comply with ITAR regulations (US persons only).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with health and safety policies.
• Training or experience with scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, lifts, and fall protection.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, concrete, framing, and industrial gases.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
