Job description

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Assistant supports the maintenance, operations, and activities of the Credit Union at all its locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the Credit Union's buildings, grounds and equipment are clean, safe and properly maintained by performing general and light maintenance, and routine maintenance of facility grounds.
• Assists with maintenance of internal offices and furnishings, which includes moving and assembling office furniture, supplies, lighting maintenance, and related tasks.
• Supports records management (e.g., storage, retrieval, removal, destruction) including transport and destruction of documents.
• Assists with supplies management including inventorying, orders and processing, handling, and distribution.
• Provides support to the Information Technology team, as needed, with equipment installations

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent (associate degree, technical degree, or apprenticeship program preferred)
• Two (2) or more years' facilities experience preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred
• Ability to resolve routine and complex maintenance problems quickly and efficiently
• Basic understanding of facilities systems and controls (e.g., HVAC)
• Strong interpersonal/communication and teamwork skills
• Schedule flexibility requiring "off hours" and irregular hours to ensure timely branch/office openings and operations
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Indoor and outdoor physical activity is required, in all types of weather.
• Physical demands range from walking, standing, bending/stooping, crawling, climbing steps, to lifting/carrying/moving items up to 50 pounds.
• Requires ability to respond to ad hoc after-hours urgent facilities/maintenance situations.
