Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) seeks a hands-on Facilities/Asset Operations support professional to maintain company facilities, tools, and inventory across offices, shops, yards, and jobsites. You’ll ensure organized, safe, and ready environments to back field teams.

Responsibilities include asset control, tool readiness, shipping/receiving, and preventative maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency across KE locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities, warehouse ops, inventory, asset management, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
• Experience with tools, equipment, fleet assets, or inventory tracking systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in construction, electrical or mechanical contracting, industrial environments, or the trades is preferred.
• Experience with tool tracking software, CMMS, or work order management systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, security, or other building systems is a plus.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Asset, Tool & Equipment Operations: manage daily tools and equipment, including receiving, tagging, storage, checkout, return, maintenance, repair, replacement, retirement.
• Maintain asset tracking systems and accurate inventory records.
• Prepare and stage tools, equipment, and materials for field teams and project needs.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, cleanliness, and readiness for reissue.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment meet safety and readiness standards.
