Job summary

The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia, offers a Facilities Apprentice program designed to train future Engineering professionals over 24 months. You will work closely with experienced technicians, supporting guest rooms and common areas while developing technical and hospitality skills.

Responsibilities include daily room inspections, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Front Desk and Housekeeping to maintain Forbes Five-Star standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Trade school or vocational coursework is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily guest room inspections before arrivals, including VIP and CIP accommodations.
• Complete minor repairs in occupied and vacant guestrooms.
• Repair doors, locks, furniture, millwork, and case goods.
• Replace lighting, switches, outlets, thermostats, and plumbing fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce guest room service calls.
• Assist with room refresh and renovation projects.
• Ensure guestrooms meet Forbes Five-Star presentation standards.
