Job summary

Inn at Little Washington in Virginia seeks a hands-on Engineering Supervisor to lead daily maintenance across a multi-building luxury resort. You will manage work orders, vendor activity, preventive maintenance, and compliance documentation while actively performing technical tasks.

The role requires coordinating the maintenance team, supervising technicians, and partnering with the Director to ensure reliable systems, life safety, and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hotel or commercial building maintenance experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating a team.
• Experience assigning work and managing workflow.
• CMMS experience (HotSOS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily activities of Maintenance Technicians
• Assign, monitor, and close work orders through CMMS (HotSOS preferred)
• Ensure timely response to guest and internal service requests
• Perform advanced repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, carpentry, and general building systems
• Support parts ordering, inventory control, and supply management
• Assist with invoice processing and budget tracking
• Maintain life safety logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response procedures
