GDI, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to oversee daily operations for assigned client accounts in the United States. The role includes leading janitorial teams, scheduling, and ensuring service levels meet client expectations.

Responsibilities encompass staff training, shift designation, timely response to concerns, onboarding of new hires, payroll accuracy, safety compliance, and reporting to management. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years progressively increasing management experience in the janitorial industry required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
• High integrity and discretion required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to customer concerns or complaints; ensure closure on issues.
• Onboard and train new employees (hands-on training, job shadowing).
• Train by example by performing duties as staff shadow you.
• Manage employee relations or performance issues and report to management/HR.
• Identify and communicate the need for special project work to management.
• Review timekeeping and complete payroll documents to ensure accurate pay.
• Respond to calls as needed and enforce safety policies.
• Complete required training courses.
