Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on the North Olympic Peninsula is seeking a facilities and construction coordinator to manage project development and coordination within Operations. You will work with the Director of Facilities Management to ensure timely execution of projects and regulatory compliance.

The role requires five+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar; it also involves vendor liaison, cost reporting and CMMS oversight.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years’ experience in project development, management and coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred or equivalent experience.
  • External liaison with vendors and cross-department collaboration is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordination of Operations and Construction activities.
  • Perform contract administration to meet state, federal and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Materials Management on financial reporting and procurement.
  • Maintain liaison with vendors and regulatory agencies as needed.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS:

Works with the Director of Facilities Management in the planning and coordination of the activities associated with Operations and Construction. Provides contract administration coordinating and working to satisfy state, federal and local regulatory requirements. Assists the division by regular internal liaison work with the Finance and Materials Management departments associated with Operations as well as with project financial reporting and material procurement. Externally the position maintains regular contact with vendors assisting with financial and scheduling issues. The position plays a critical role in the Hazardous Materials Program maintaining administrative management of vendors within the program and liaisons with external regulatory agencies. Additionally, the position also maintains administrative oversight of the division’s CMMS program. The position will be expected to occasionally work long or irregular hours, depending on projects in progress.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred but other fields may be considered.
  • Comparable experience and training may also be considered.
Experience
  • Five or more years’ experience in project development, management and coordination required, preferably in health care.
