Job Description – Facilitator
Position Overview
The Facilitator supports the front-of-house team by ensuring the restaurant is fully prepared, organized, and maintained to the highest luxury service standards. This role focuses on creating a polished dining environment, overseeing service stations, managing essential supplies, and assisting with both indoor and outdoor setup. The Facilitator plays a key operational role in delivering a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Restaurant Setup & Organization
- Prepare the dining room for service by ensuring cleanliness, proper table setup, and a well-organized floor plan.
- Set up and maintain all service stations, ensuring they are fully stocked with necessary supplies such as linens, silverware, glassware, and service tools.
- Assist with arranging outdoor dining areas and ensuring all furniture and equipment are clean and ready for use.
Stocking & Inventory Support
- Monitor and replenish restaurant supplies throughout the shift, including glassware, silverware, linens, beverages, and station materials.
- Maintain proper organization of storage areas and assist in receiving and stocking linen and service goods.
- Complete inventory-related checklists and communicate needs to management.
Operational Support During Service
- Check service stations regularly to ensure they remain stocked and organized.
- Assist with polishing and preparing glassware and silverware as needed.
- Support servers and assistants by ensuring all operational tools and materials are available and in excellent condition.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, service stations, and the dining room throughout the shift.
- Conduct regular restroom checks to ensure they meet cleanliness standards and notify management when assistance is needed.
- Help clean and reset outdoor spaces and equipment at the end of service.
Closing Procedures
- Restock, clean, and reorganize service stations and tools at the end of each shift.
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning tasks to ensure the restaurant is prepared for the next service.
- Complete required closing checklists and communicate supply needs to the MOD.
Weekly Deep-Cleaning Tasks
- Participate in scheduled weekly cleaning and organization projects for various service stations and storage areas.
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality or fine-dining experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to multitask and support a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
- Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented, and reliable.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
