Responsibilities

• Prepares dining room by cleaning and setting tables, decorating, and arranging condiments and utensils.
• Maintains table settings by clearing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water.
• Adheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect guests.
• Ensures clean glasses, silverware, and table setups; keeps work areas organized.
• Knows menu items to answer questions about food and drink.
• Sets up and replenishes condiments, stands, liners, and bus stations.
• Cleans dining area after service; sweeps or vacuums floors and takes out trash.
• Keeps station and surrounding area free of debris at all times.
• Clears tables quickly after guests finish and resets within two minutes.
• Assists in running food and completes opening/closing procedures.
• Treats guests and coworkers with respect.

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and energetic Servers Assistants / Bussers to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares dining room by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; marking tables; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs,
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Ensure consistently clean glasses, silverware, table setups and working areas
• Maintains a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
• Set-up and replenish condiments, stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations
• Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility
• Keeping the tables, chairs, banquettes, and floor of your station, and surrounding area, free of all debris
• Clearing a table in a timely manner (less than 1 minute after the last guest has finished eating)
• Cleaning the table between courses when necessary and ALWAYS cleaning after the main course has been cleared.
• Periodically “sweeping” the room offering water
• ALWAYS offer a fresh bottle of water the moment the current bottle is poured off
• Polishing cleaned silverware and plates. Returning clean and polished items to the dining room
• Resetting the table within two minutes of the last guest leaving the table.
• Assist in running food
• Complete opening and closing procedures in a timely manner
• Treat every guest and every co-worker with respect

Experience:

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
