Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a professional dedicated to providing support for schools, focusing on specially designed instruction in both general and special education settings. This role involves assisting in curriculum access and ensuring that students with disabilities are educated alongside their peers.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience and a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate. Responsibilities include implementing IEPs and providing professional development for teachers.
Provides support to schools regarding the access and adaptation to curriculum with a focus on delivering specially designed instruction in the general education and special education setting. Assists in ensuring equal access to the curriculum and differentiated instruction in the least restrictive environment (LRE) while developing a continuum of services so that students with disabilities have an opportunity to be educated with nondisabled peers to the maximum extent possible. Supports schools in building capacity to meet the needs of all learners while ensuring all initiatives support system‑wide goals identified in the Strategic Plan.
The work is generally performed both in school and office environments, with travel to schools throughout Baltimore County required. Work includes operation of office equipment, computers, and assistive technology devices. Limited physical activity may be required. Work schedules may include nights and weekends and will require occasional work beyond normally scheduled hours.

Salary: $61,026 – $120,717. FLSA: Exempt. Eligible for the Maryland State Retirement System.
