Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior character animator to join a leading AI lab's GenAI evaluation team on a part-time W-2 basis. You will help define evaluation standards and ensure performances translate into measurable data.

This role requires 4+ years of hands-on animation, feature film or AAA credits, and experience with facial animation or performance capture. Occasional on-site sessions in Playa Vista or New York will occur.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a hands-on character animator with core emphasis on performance.
• Verifiable credits on 2+ feature films, animated features, or AAA game cinematics.
• Direct experience with facial animation and/or performance capture.
• Meticulous eye for micro-expressions and emotional beats.
• AI proficiency and ability to generate visual samples for testing.
• Ability to translate visual details into clear data captions and templates.
• On-site availability in Playa Vista (Los Angeles), CA or New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Establish evaluation standards for when a performance is captured well.
• Curate benchmarks of easy vs hard performances for testing.
• Shape the reviewer rubric and profile for scaled evaluation.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure consistency.
