Cincinnatus LLC is recruiting a senior character animator to help shape evaluation standards for an AI-driven performance transfer model. The role focuses on facial animation, performance capture, and translating complex visuals into precise data captions, with part-time W-2 engagement and placement at a leading AI lab.

You’ll join an expert team, collaborate with reviewers, and come on-site in Playa Vista, CA or New York, NY up to once or twice a month.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as hands-on character animator.
• Verifiable credits on 2+ feature films, animated features, or AAA game cinematics.
• Direct experience with facial animation and/or performance capture.
• Meticulous eye for micro-expressions and emotional beats.
• AI proficiency and ability to generate visual samples for testing.
• Ability to translate complex visual details into clear data captions for evaluation templates.
• Able to come on-site in Playa Vista (Los Angeles), CA or New York, NY for in-person sessions once or twice a month.
• Optional access to a 4K-resolution monitor.

Responsibilities

• Establish evaluation standards for performance capture quality and emotional resonance.
• Curate benchmarks and identify test cases for model evaluation.
• Shape the reviewer pool and define rubrics for assessment at scale.
• Collaborate with other experts to ensure consistency and accuracy of evaluations.
