Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior character animator to help define evaluation standards and shape benchmarks for a cutting-edge GenAI team. This part-time W-2 role offers placement at a leading AI Lab and involves on-site collaboration in Playa Vista, CA or New York, NY.

You will ensure authentic performance through facial animation and motion capture, contribute to reviewer rubrics, and work with other experts to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on character animator experience.
• Verifiable credits on 2+ feature films, animated features, or AAA game cinematics.
• Direct experience with facial animation and/or performance capture.
• Meticulous eye for micro-expressions and authentic performance.
• AI proficiency and ability to generate visual samples for testing.
• Ability to translate visual details into clear data captions and evaluation templates.
• On-site in Playa Vista (LA) or New York, NY for in-person sessions once or twice a month.
• Optional: access to a 4K monitor.

Responsibilities

• Establish evaluation standards: Define criteria for captured performances in emotion and fidelity.
• Curate benchmarks: Identify strong and hard examples for model testing.
• Shape the evaluation pool: Define reviewer profiles, mix, and rubrics.
• Collaborate with other experts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
