Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters is seeking Soninke language interpreters for face-to-face assignments in the Central Ohio area. You will work on medical and social service appointments, using your bilingual skills to facilitate clear communication.

Choose your own schedule and take on as many assignments as you can handle. Ideal candidates are US-eligible, have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and can pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be located in the Central Ohio area and eligible to work in the US.
• Provide proof of 40-hour interpreter training from an accredited program.
• Pass a Federal Background Check and a 10-panel drug screening at no cost.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

What You Need To Know

• Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)


• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!


• Higher rates may be offered to individuals with more experience.

Requirements

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.


• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Be eligible to work in the United States.


• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).


• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' \"Access Academy\", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).


• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
