Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking Swahili language interpreters for face-to-face interpretation at medical, social service and other appointments. You set your own schedule as a contractor; assignments are available 24/7/365.

As an interpreter, you’ll bridge communication using your bilingual skills and earn money on a flexible, local basis. Requirements include being in Central Ohio, a HS diploma, US work eligibility, a background check and 40+ hour training or a valid

Qualifications

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screen at no cost.
• Provide proof of 40+ hour interpreter training (e.g. Access Academy or similar).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete a 3rd party bilingual fluency evaluation.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

Requirements

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
