Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is seeking Soninke language interpreters for face-to-face interpretation in Columbus, OH. You will assist during medical, social service and other appointments, using your bilingual skills to support clients and providers on a flexible schedule.

As a contractor, you decide when you work and which assignments you take. Most opportunities arise during business hours, but assignments are available around the clock, with higher rates offered for more experienced

Qualifications

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screen at no cost.
• Provide proof of 40-hour interpreter training (e.g. Access Academy or equivalent).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete a 3rd party bilingual fluency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation at medical, social service and other appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and produce accurate interpretation.
• Enjoy flexible scheduling and accept assignments as available.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

What you need to know:

• Your bilingual skills are in high demand!
• As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!
• Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!
• Higher rates may be offered to individuals with more experience.

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
