Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is seeking face-to-face interpreters located in Central Ohio to support medical, social service, and other appointments. This contractor role lets you choose your own schedule and accept as many assignments as you can handle, with earnings tied to the number of interpretations completed.

Applicants should be bilingual in English and Fulani and/or Wolof and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Applicants must reside in Central Ohio.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of at least 40 hours of interpreter training (e.g. Access Academy or equivalent).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete a 3rd party bilingual fluency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation at medical, social service and other appointments.
• Contractor with own schedule; you decide when to work.
• Interpreting with Access 2 Interpreters to earn compensation based on assignments available.

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

What You Need To Know

• Your bilingual skills are in high demand!
• As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!
• Assignments are available 24/6/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
