Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Consultant to support a Senior Managing Director in resolving complex issues related to facades, moisture intrusion, and mold in real estate assets. This is ideal for an early-career professional with architecture or engineering background to deepen expertise in building envelope performance and forensic consulting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in facade/building envelope roles.
• Degree in Architecture, Structural, Mechanical/HVAC engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate facade, building envelope, watertightness, moisture, and mold issues for real estate clients.
• Support site visits and field investigations of envelope conditions.
• Review drawings/specifications to identify deficiencies causing moisture/envelope failures.
• Analyze building science data and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and remediation recommendations under guidance.
• Collaborate with architects, structural and HVAC engineers, and facade specialists.
• Communicate findings with clients and stay updated on codes and standards.
• Manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
