Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a motivated Consultant to support a Senior Managing Director in resolving complex facade and building envelope issues for real estate assets. This role offers exposure to high-impact client engagements and collaboration with architects, engineers, and facade specialists.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in facade, building envelope, or related engineering.
• Degree in Architecture or Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-ready reports.
• Willingness to travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Investigate facade, enclosure, moisture, and mold issues for real estate clients.
• Support site visits, field investigations, and visual assessments.
• Review drawings to identify deficiencies causing moisture or envelope failures.
• Analyze building science data and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Present findings to clients as needed.
• Stay current on codes and best practices related to building envelopes.
• Manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
