Job summary

Kroger is seeking a skilled maintenance/carpentry professional to perform core carpentry tasks in our stores, including drywall, flooring installation, cabinet or shelving repair, and door/window work. You will also handle preventative maintenance and ensure projects align with store budgets.

This role requires reliable team collaboration, strong PC skills for reporting and inventory, the ability to lift 25 lbs, flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays, and a valid driver’s

• Flexibility to handle ever-changing scope of assignments and projects.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules as required (including nights, weekends and holidays). Overtime may be required.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry tasks in stores including drywall, flooring, cabinets, doors/windows.
• Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory via company programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budget guidelines.
• Collaborate with store teams to support store operations.

Job description

• Complete commercial carpentry skills such as installation of drywall, ceramic and vinyl floor tile installation, cabinet or shelving repair, door andwindow repairs or installations cement work, acoustical ceilings and locks.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by account code) of assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• General carpentry experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
