Job summary

Kroger is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform plumbing-related tasks in our retail stores, including drain cleaning, valve repair, and water heater service.

You will complete time and vehicle reporting, conduct preventive maintenance at least twice yearly, and help keep stores within budgeted maintenance expenses.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 25 lbs, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean drains, repair and replace valves in toilets, and service commercial water heaters.
• Complete and submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense in assigned stores aligns with annual budget guidelines.

Job description

• Responsible for cleaning drains, valve repair and replacements in toilets, repair and install commercial water heaters, and other minimal tasksassociated with plumbing.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by Account Code) in assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• General plumbing experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
