Job summary

Kroger is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to perform plumbing tasks, repairs, and preventive care across multiple store locations. You will document time and inventory, assist with budget adherence, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean drains and repair valves in toilets, install and service water heaters.

• Perform preventive maintenance at stores at least twice yearly.
• Ensure maintenance expenses align with annual budgets.

Job description

• Responsible for cleaning drains, valve repair and replacements in toilets, repair and install commercial water heaters, and other minimal tasksassociated with plumbing.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by Account Code) in assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Desired Previous Job Experience

• General plumbing experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and a willingness to help all members of the department.
• Flexibility to handle ever-changing scope of assignments and projects.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules as required (including nights, weekends and holidays). Overtime may be required.

• Strong PC skills. Position will utilize Windows XP, MS Excel, CPC Ultrasite/Controllers and MS Outlook. Candidates must possess the ability to utilizeand learn Kroger-specific mainframe applications including Viryanet Service Hub.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently.
