Job summary

Kroger is seeking a maintenance professional to perform a range of carpentry and repair tasks in our Savannah, GA stores. You will install and repair drywall, flooring, cabinets, doors and windows while supporting preventive maintenance and reporting requirements.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Overtime and evening/weekend work may be required; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to handle changing scope and assignments.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays and overtime as required.
• Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Complete commercial carpentry skills including drywall, tile installation, cabinet and shelving work, door/window repairs or installations.
• Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense meets annual budget guidelines.

Job description

• Complete commercial carpentry skills such as installation of drywall, ceramic and vinyl floor tile installation, cabinet or shelving repair, door andwindow repairs or installations cement work, acoustical ceilings and locks.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by account code) of assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

  • General carpentry experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
