Job summary

Kroger is seeking a maintenance technician for on-site work at Tolleson, AZ. The role involves plumbing tasks including drain cleaning, valve repair, and water heater work, along with time reporting and inventory duties.

You will perform preventive maintenance and help ensure maintenance costs align with budgets. The position requires lifting 25 lbs, team collaboration, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and install commercial water heaters and other plumbing tasks as needed.
• Complete and submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budget guidelines.

Job description

• Responsible for cleaning drains, valve repair and replacements in toilets, repair and install commercial water heaters, and other minimal tasksassociated with plumbing.
• Complete and submit accurate reporting of time reporting and vehicle inventory by scheduled dates via company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expense (by Account Code) in assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• General plumbing experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment and a willingness to help all members of the department.
• Flexibility to handle ever-changing scope of assignments and projects.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules as required (including nights, weekends and holidays). Overtime may be required.
