Qualifications

• Must have welding experience in fabrication setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and protective gear.
• Demonstrated detail orientation in fabrication processes.
• Ability to read technical documentation and drawings clearly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld components per specifications.
• Fabricate parts ensuring conformance with blueprints.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools.
• Prepare surfaces for welding; remove foreign matter.
• Verify material quantities and lengths.
• Inspect materials to ensure quality standards.
• Document inspections and rework of non-conforming material.
• Initiate preventative and corrective actions for process issues.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor/management.

Job Responsibilities

• Proficiently weld components according to specifications.
• Fabricate pieces, ensuring conformance with product specifications and blueprints.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools.
• Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no foreign matter.
• Verify that materials are supplied in proper quantities and proper lengths.
• Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.
• Accurately document the inspection and rework of non-conforming or rejected material using the appropriate log.
• Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques and tools.
• Able to read and interpret prints.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards for welding and willingness to use protective clothing (Face Shields, Gloves Etc.)
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to read technical documentation and drawings including details and breakouts.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing.

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience as a welder, preferably in welding aluminum.
• Experience using power and hand tools.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Other Requirements

• Physical- This position operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses welding, fabrication and power tools.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift.
