Balco, a Balco, Inc. brand under CSW Industrials, Inc., is expanding its production team in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on architectural expansion joints, barriers and related products, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualified applicants will read tapes, operate tools, inspect materials, train new staff, and lift up to 50 lbs while standing up to 10 hours daily. The position offers an hourly wage with benefits and advancement opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Read tape measure to 1/16” for production and verification
• Safe and effective use of power tools and machinery (saws, drills, nail guns, spot welders)
• Inspect and verify materials meet standards and customer needs
• Participate in training for your position
• Demonstrate ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and stand/walk up to 10 hours daily

Responsibilities

• Support Balco’s Quality Policy and procedures.
• Follow work instructions and complete production paperwork.
• Initiate corrective actions for problems in product/processes.
• Train new employees in the Fire Barrier Department.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
• Assist with production orders and quality checks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Offer solutions for problems with product or processes.
• Follow all Balco’s safety rules, regulations, brings concerns to leadership on unsafe conditions, damages, or processes that need attention.
• Train new employees in the Fire Barrier Department.
• Confirm the quality and accuracy of completed production work orders.
• Complete required production paperwork and return to the Production Office.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.

Qualifications:

• Proficiently read tape measure down to 1/16” for production and verification processes.
• Safe and effective use of power tools and or machinery including saws, drills, nail guns, spot welders, and any other applicable machinery.
• Inspect and verify materials to meet standards/details, and ensure it meets the needs of our customers.
• Participate in all necessary training functions for you position.
• Demonstrate the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds properly to prevent injury to yourself and others without damaging material/product.
• Stand / walk for up to 10 hours daily while performing job requirements.
• Be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs safely.
• Competitive hourly rate of $22-$27 with an annual pay increase
