Job summary

Balco-Inc. in Wichita, KS is expanding its production team and offers a competitive hourly rate of $22–$27 with annual pay increases. The role emphasizes quality, safety and teamwork within the Fire Barrier Department, with training and opportunities for advancement.

As a member of Balco’s team, you will follow quality policies, complete production paperwork, and maintain a clean work area while supporting ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proficiently read tape measure down to 1/16” for production and verification processes.
• Safe and effective use of power tools and machinery including saws, drills, nail guns, spot welders.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds to handle material safely.

Responsibilities

• Support and follow Balco, Inc.’s Quality Policy.
• Follow all applicable Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.
• Offer solutions for problems with product or processes.
• Train new employees in the Fire Barrier Department.
• Confirm the quality and accuracy of completed production work orders.
• Complete required production paperwork and return to the Production Office.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.

• Train new employees in the Fire Barrier Department.
• Confirm the quality and accuracy of completed production work orders.
• Complete required production paperwork and return to the Production Office.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.

Qualifications:

• Proficiently read tape measure down to 1/16” for production and verification processes.
• Safe and effective use of power tools and or machinery including saws, drills, nail guns, spot welders, and any other applicable machinery.
• Inspect and verify materials to meet standards/details, and ensure it meets the needs of our customers.
• Participate in all necessary training functions for you position.
• Demonstrate the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds properly to prevent injury to yourself and others without damaging material/product.
• Stand / walk for up to 10 hours daily while performing job requirements.
• Be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs safely.
