Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a full-time Fabricator Welder for our Manufacturing Team at the Merthyr facility. The successful candidate earns up to £16.86 per hour, depending on experience and potential, with a proactive mindset and growth potential.

You will perform light and heavy fabrications across steels and aluminium, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure quality and efficiency within established safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience on high-strength steels.
• Ability to weld aluminium.
• Level 2 NDT liquid penetrant inspection certification (CSWIP/PCN).
• Ability to multi-task and work to best practice.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving approach.

Job description

General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look‑out for a full time Fabricator Welder to join our Manufacturing Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn up to £16.86 per hour based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.

Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders to carry out both light and heavy fabrications across a variety of materials including steels and aluminium.

Requirements

• 9606-1 – TIG process ,multi joint and multi positional in high strength steels valid certification.
• Ability to weld aluminium.
• Level 2 NDT liquid penetrant inspection certification, CSWIP or PCN.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Analytical mind, with a problem solving ethic.
• Ability to develop and adhere to best practice/process/policy.
