Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a full-time Production Line Manager to supervise the production line and up to 40 operatives at our Merthyr facility. The role involves planning, coordinating and controlling line activities to deliver product on time, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• University degree or recognised College diploma in Manufacturing or Business Administration or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience relevant production experience preferably in a low volume high product value environment.
• Preferred Experience of military vehicle build, maintenance or use.
• Must be able to cover shifts, as or if required.
• Previous manufacturing experience in a unionised environment.
• Goal oriented, with the ability to work under demanding conditions.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication, organisational, coaching, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated lean manufacture and operational excellence skills.

General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look‑out for a full‑time Production Line Manager to work on our Manufacturing Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £43,200 to £54,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.

Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work with stakeholders across the business to supervise the day‑to‑day running of a production line and up to 40 associated operatives in the GDLSUK facility.
