Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman with 4-year state-approved apprenticeship or 8 years documented experience.
• HVAC maintenance/repair experience; HVAC certification preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
• Read blueprints and work with varied pipe materials.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, including cold rooms and test environments.
• Install and maintain steam and hot-water heating, high-pressure steam lines, sprinklers, and piping systems.
• Cut threads, bend, file, burr, ream and install pipes, couplings, valves and fittings.
• Work with cast iron, brass, stainless steel and other metals; use pipefitters tools and torches.
• Layout, install and repair plant plumbing systems including toilets, showers and fountains.
• May handle hazardous waste and related safety procedures.

PositionDescription:

• Layout,installandrepairallplantplumbingsystems,includingtoilets,showersanddrinkingfountains,accordingtounderwritersandmunicipalstandards.Locate,diagnoseandcorrectplumbingtroubles.

Requirements:
