Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Harlan, Iowa, is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator to set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components per blueprints and work orders.

You will maintain safe operations, ensure quality standards, and keep accurate production records while working on-site in Iowa. Previous welding exposure is a plus; strong math and reading skills are essential for interpreting drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gauges, and height gauges.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of the position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.
