Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Harlan, Iowa is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components per blueprints and work orders.

You will maintain safety, ensure quality, and keep precise production records while reading part drawings and process routings. Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1–2 years of experience in fabrication.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence and time management.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, rollers, punches, sanders, drills, grinders, shears and saws.
• Use calipers, micrometers, rulers, squares and gages for measurements.

Job Summary of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

The Fabricator Machine Operator will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role is responsible for maintaining safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of his position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
