Job summary

Manitou Group in Yankton, South Dakota, is hiring a Fab/Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment. The role requires reading drawings, using measurement tools, and ensuring production meets quality standards.

The position is onsite in Yankton with a 1st or 2nd shift option, offering a base pay of $22.50 per hour plus a potential quarterly bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior fabrication experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, checklists, internal and external deviations, etc.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience preferred in fabrication/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain machinery to produce high quality products.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Assist with procuring materials needed for production.
• Operate lasers and press brakes.
• Complete production and quality paperwork.
• Notify Fabrication Manager or Supervisor if problems arise.
• In case of accident or injury, notify the Shift supervisor on duty.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to get equipment repaired when necessary.
• Willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work overtime as required.
