Job summary

Manitou Group is seeking a welder for our Yankton, South Dakota facility. The role involves welding components to specifications, reading blueprints, and performing set-ups and fabrication tasks on heavy mechanical parts.

You will operate welding equipment and related tools, while following strict safety and quality procedures. The position is onsite in Yankton with base pay starting at $25.00 per hour plus a 15% shift differential for the second shift, plus a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Must have or acquire the “basic” Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions.
• Able to read and follow job orders, blueprints, diagrams and work instructions.
• Willingness to train or work outside scheduled shifts and maintain attendance.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Safety conscious and compliant with PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld duties per procedures, layouts, blueprints and work orders.
• Weld components using specified equipment and perform varying welds and positions.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures to repair, modify or fabricate parts.
• Read and follow job specifications and work instructions; operate related equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and comply with safety policies.
