Job summary

Stryker is hiring for a 2nd shift manufacturing role in Portage, Michigan. A High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication or CNC machining are required.

You will inspect parts, operate fabrication equipment, and train new employees while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position offers a 2nd shift with a 1:45pm-10:15pm schedule, potential overtime, and competitive benefits including health and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections using calipers, angle gages, and other inspection tools to ensure quality.
• Produce high-quality fabricated parts using fabrication equipment.
• Operate production equipment including loader/unloader stations, drill presses, weld nut stations, saws, and other machinery.
• Perform inspections and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Complete setup, fabrication, cleanup, preventive maintenance, and QA for assigned equipment.
• Train new employees on processes, equipment, safety requirements, and best practices.

What you will do:

• Produce high-quality fabricated parts using a variety of fabrication equipment.
• Operate production equipment, including loader/unloader stations, drill presses, weld nut stations, saws, and other basic fabrication machinery and tooling.
• Perform inspections using required quality and measurement equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Complete machine setup, work preparation, fabrication, cleanup, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance activities for assigned equipment and work areas.
• Train new employees on processes, equipment, safety requirements, and best practices.

What you need:

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two plus (2+) years manufacturing experience specifically in sheet metal fabrication or CNC machining.
