Job summary

Stryker Portage, MI is seeking a 1st shift manufacturing inspector/assembler to produce high-quality fabricated parts and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment.

You will perform inspections with calipers and gauges, train new employees, and ensure adherence to gage plans. Requires a HS diploma and 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication or CNC machining.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two plus (2+) years manufacturing experience specifically in sheet metal fabrication or CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections in accordance with gage plans using calipers, angle gauges, and other inspection equipment to ensure quality standards.
• Produce high-quality fabricated parts using various fabrication equipment.
• Operate production equipment including loader/unloader stations, drill presses, weld-nut stations, saws, and other basic fabrication machinery.
• Perform inspections using required quality and measurement equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Complete machine setup, work preparation, fabrication, cleanup, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance activities for assigned equipment and work areas.
• Train new employees on processes, equipment, safety requirements, and best practices.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 5:45am-2:15pm; OT scheduled based on production needs

• Operate production equipment, including loader/unloader stations, drill presses, weld nut stations, saws, and other basic fabrication machinery and tooling.
• Perform inspections using required quality and measurement equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Complete machine setup, work preparation, fabrication, cleanup, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance activities for assigned equipment and work areas.
