Job summary

IPEX is hiring a Fabricator-C in Preston, Minnesota, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will learn to operate and troubleshoot fabricating machines, focusing on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Main responsibilities include setting up and running fabricating equipment, preparing molds, handling heavy components, verifying quality, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. A strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred (training provided)
• Basic math knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Working knowledge of health & safety practices helpful
• Ability to understand various types and sizes of pipes after training

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot fabricating machines (training provided)
• Prepare molds and machines for all lines
• Lift and move large, heavy diameter saws
• Identify material problems and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Accurately set process parameters
• Remove scrap materials and maintain orderly storage
• Perform housekeeping around machines and work areas
• Inspect and report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions
• Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) efforts
• Perform other tasks as needed
