Job summary

Afinitas in New Hampton, IA is seeking a skilled welder to interpret basic drawings, route sheets, and specifications to determine methods and techniques for welding, brazing, and flame cutting. You will set up and operate metal arc, shielded arc, or oxyacetylene equipment, adjust current and gas pressures, and select rods and electrodes for each job.

Perform basic saw operations and painting as required; calculate dimensions with micrometers and calipers; measure, inspect, and test completed

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic drawings and route sheets to determine welding methods.
• Familiarity with measuring tools and precision checks for conformance.
• Understanding of safety procedures and workplace discipline.
